Make sure that the rough images of your camera approach the reality as closely as possible with the X-Rite ColorChecker Mini gray balance card. The Mini gray balance card “in pocket size”, consists of the same 18% gray as on the standard 24-level ColorChecker card (formerly Macbeth). The gray is scientifically determined, so that it is spectrally neutral (reflects the same amounts of red, green and blue) in all light conditions.

Even in a controlled studio environment, a neutral gray reference at the start of every photo session can greatly increase the quality of your images. The X-Rite ColorChecker Mini Gray Balance card offers photographers a clear and clear reference to work towards. You can then adjust the color sensitivity of your camera so that you fully “match” the ambient light conditions

The ColorChecker Gray Balance Mini is the smaller version of the standard-sized gray balance card, measuring only 63.5 x 109.0mm.

Using the ColorChecker Gray Balance Mini for reflective spot exposure metering will give you the confidence that your images will be exposed as accurately as possible. The ColorChecker Gray Balance Mini is a pocket-size version of the 18% gray reference square in the standard 24-patch ColorChecker. The gray is scientifically engineered to provide a precise uniform surface that is spectrally neutral, meaning it reflects equal amounts of red, blue, and green in all types of light conditions.

The ColorChecker Gray Balance target can be used for a variety of applications:

Digital Photography: Exposure metering and gray balance. Adjusts your digital camera’s color sensitivity to exactly match the ambient lighting conditions

Traditional Photography: Check films, lights, filters, and paper.

Cinematography (Television and Video): Verify gray balance is produced through the configuration of cameras, lights, and film.
